“So you mean to say that we can bring her back.”

So the story goes that Jadis of Charn was slain by Aslan and all lived happily ever after. However, that is not how the story goes in this case. The Pevensie children lived for fifteen years in Narnia, after the defeat of the White Witch by Aslan. However, it is to be stated that Jadis is not dead. She is only mostly dead, in a state of hibernation, one should call it. You cannot kill a witch, even if you are the all mighty Aslan. However, he, for the time being, managed to banish her physical form from the world. Only, she has quite a strong group of followers who know that she can be resurrected. But only with the blood of a Daughter of Eve or a Son of Adam. And they believe that Lucy Pevensie should provide this blood, as she is the purest of heart. However, that does not come until later. After the first slaying of the Witch, the Pevensies ushered in the Golden Age of Narnia. And then, as the story went, they went back through the Wardrobe. However, they did not live in the human world for one year and then return to find Prince Caspian calling for their aid. But they waited three years to return. Before they all went swimming and found themselves in the River Rush. Caspian wasn’t waiting, nor had thousands of years passed. It has only been twenty. However, the threat of the Telmarine people loomed on the horizon. In fact, they were waiting oh so very patiently for the right moment to strike. And strike they did, and the Pevensie’s were not there to aid their country. So Galma fell to the Telmarines, who began to set up camp oh so very nicely in the southern country of Archenland.

“Your sister, my liege, she is gone.”
“Gone? How could she be gone? She was just out riding!”
“They took her, my lord. Carried her off. I think they‘ll try to kill her.”
“No. I will not allow that to happen. It cannot happen.”

Archenland showed it’s support of the Telmarines when they practically invited them to stay in their country, to feast at the castle of Anvard. The young king, Gareth, looked for nothing more than a friendly ally. The last thing his small country needed was the Telmarine threat. So he offered Caspian I the Conqueror a feather bed in his castle. The much older king saw this as an advantage, and warmly embraced Gareth. He now knew that Archenland was weak, and ready for the taking once he finished with Narnia. When this was done, the anarchy ruled Narnia saw to it that they would take something of theirs hostage, the Princess, in order to ward off the attack on their country. Of course, they had no intention to harm the young girl, as they were not creatures of evil spirits. None the less, they used her as a sort of shield and walled her up in the castle. This happened a week before the return of the Pevensies. Who found their country in a state of panic. The Telmarines were breathing down their back, having nearly taken control of the surrounding countries, there is an evil whisper in the Western Woods about the return of Jadis. Not to mention that Aslan is nowhere to be found. What will they do, with the Kingdom of Narnia on the brink of destruction? What will they do without the wise guidance of Aslan? Only time will tell. However, nothing is impossible. And what of the Telmarines? Why are they even in Narnia?

“Do you understand why now, son?”
“That you want us to be more than thieving pirates?”
“Yes. We are wealthy enough to be an empire! And now is our chance.”
“…this is so because Narnia is weak.”

King Caspian I of Telmar, is tired of seeing his country pushed aside. Telmar is little more than an island, now overpopulated. However, it is rich with countless amounts of gold. That they have stolen off of ships headed from Calomoren, Archenland, and even Narnia. He is tired of seeing his country be more than a wealthy little pirate port. He doesn’t want quaint. He wants power. And he watched for years as Narnia fell into disparity after the disappearance of it’s Kings and Queens. So, without further adieu, he decided that it was time to seize the opportunity, before someone else did. However, Caspian was a man of strategy. He had lived more than forty years on the sea, and knew how to win a war. So, he first took the island country of Galma, in order to position his armies even closer to the leaderless country. It was an easy target. However, he couldn’t help but feel as though Archenland, the Narnian ally, may rise to protect the inhabitants. So he paid the newly crowned King Gareth of Archenland a visit. He offered gold in return for amicable relations. Gareth accepted. How could he not? The Telmarines were practically threatening to raze his country! However, what Caspian was not counting on was the return of the rightful heirs to the thrones.

“Lucy! Were are Susan and Edmund?”
“I don‘t know, Peter. But isn‘t it wonderful. We‘re back!”
“We can‘t be! It‘s not possible. It‘s impossible!”
“Nothing‘s impossible.”
