THE PLOT

Through every heavy shadow of darkness comes a beaming beacon of light. The war on both man and Pokemon has ended with the shadowy figured known as Team Rocket being cast deep into the shadows by a heavy uprising. After months of vigorous assaults on every installation that had been set in place by the sinister organization, the final blow had been dealt in the middle of the night by a unknown force of immeasurable strength. Those that once wore the red and black uniform into battle now trembled in the wake of power far greater than anyone could ever imagine. The Organization had seemingly vanished into the night without a word. Team Rocket was thought to have faded from existence entirely. To the people of both Johto and Kanto, this was a time of peace and prosperity.

The Breathless Chronicles takes place in the ancient region of Johto, where once powerful flying Pokemon Ho-oh and Lugia watched over the region in peace and harmony. Each existing only to counterbalance the other in means of guidance over the region. But, every great protector needs to rest after a decade of constant battle. These two have fled without so much as a farewell to the people that they showed so much mercy to. They are said to exist in a dormant state in one of many nests around Johto. For the people that have shown praise to them, this is both a gift and a curse. As for now, they shall sleep until they are once again called to defend this ancient land. Hoping that it may be a long while before that time will come.

For when some sleep, others wake. In the moments following the disappearances of the Legendary Birds, three hounds of Water, Fire, and Thunder have surfaced once again to scattered throughout the Johto region. The sworn protectors keep a watchful eye on the inhabitants with perfect balance and unsurpassed skill. These three Pokemon are to be seen by the undeserving but never captured. Their legacy reigns higher than that of any other Pokemon to ever scatter across the ground on four paws. To witness them in action is to be a sign of luck, to engage with them in battle is said to be a sign of misfortune. These three Pokemon challenge every trainer to keep their eyes on the ultimate prize. Although, submission of these creatures comes to be nearly impossible to achieve, the ongoing hunt for their existence seems to be mainstream . To earn their respect is to achieve a happy life, to bring their wrath is said to challenge the force of nature itself.

Will you write your own Legacy in the Johto Region? Will you be one of the only few to be recognized in a History that has been written since Time Immortal? Do you have the power to lead people to the light? Or do you have the cunning to cast them into the darkness? What you do will define the future of the Region as a whole. This is not the time for cowards or observers. This is the time to rise against what waits to strike back at the Region with a vengeance that Arceus itself could not hope to stand against. The time is now to write your own History amongst many others. Will you breed the strongest Pokemon? Will you conduct the most entertaining shows with Pokemon? Will you lead the peace and love? Will you destroy all around? Or… will you travel the road of a Champion? The choice is only yours to make.
